One More Time This Season

We still have blueberries in the back field. Come join us from 8am to noon on Saturday 7/21. The weather prediction is for cool, cloudy and the rain holding off until the afternoon just might be perfect for picking a quart or two.

As stated in our previous posts. The mid-season varieties in the back field have ripe berries. More than we expected. As a result we will be open this Saturday 7/21 from 8am to noon to share them with anyone willing to deal with the thistle, other weeds and the challenge of picking in our barely maintained back acres. Please leave the small children at home as this is really not an experience they will enjoy. Come early to be the heat.

We have containers but you are welcome to bring your own. We sell by the pint and quart (not weight). The prices are the same as last year and for the many years before that. You pick and then pay the farmer $4.00 a pint and $8.00 a quart. The containers are full when the berries are level with the top of the container. Overfilled containers cost more.

Things to keep in mind. No toilets (so plan ahead). Some people find sunscreen stress reducing. Bring a water bottle, picking can be thirsty work. We don’t take credit cards. Cash or a check payable to Blueberry Gardens will do the trick. No smoking anywhere on the farm.
