Everyone Wants To Know?
This time of year everyone asks when will you be open once again for us to u-pick blueberries. The answer is on Sunday June 15th from 12:30 pm to 3 pm. Please don’t come early no one picks before 12:30 pm.

We will be open for u-pick blueberries on Sunday 6-15-24 from 12:30 pm to 3 pm. The berries that our families have been enjoying over the last few days are wonderful. We have a good size crop but demand will always exceed supply.
The way it works: We try to balance the ripe berries (so there are enough for everyone who shows up), the weather (not raining or excessively hot and humid) with the opportunity to come to the farm and pick. This is not a perfect system. But the weather forecast is looking good. The supply of ripe berries may be limited, it may not be the day to pick quarts and quarts easily to fill the freezer.

We have containers. You are welcome to bring your own. We sell by the pint and quart (not weight). After more than a decade and in recognition of our ever increasing costs we raised our prices four years ago. You pick and then pay the farmer $5.00 a pint and $10.00 a quart. The containers are full when the berries are level with the top of the container. Overfilled containers cost more. Really – no pyramids.
Things to keep in mind. No toilets (so plan ahead). Bring a water bottle picking can be thirsty work. We don’t take credit cards or any form of electronic payment (we never have). Cash or a check payable to Blueberry Gardens will do the trick (there is an ATM at the Sandy Spring Bank in Ashton). No smoking anywhere on the farm. Leave your pets at home. Yes children are welcome (please take home as many as you brought). Most parking is directly off the driveway on the grass.
