Closed while berries ripen.
Our goal here at Blueberry Gardens is to sell our ripe berries whenever we have berries to sell. This is not as simple as it sounds. The number of people who would love to pick far exceeds the supply. The way it works: we try to balance the ripe berries (so there are enough for everyone who shows up), the weather (not raining heavily or excessively hot and humid) and our personal availability with the opportunity to have you come to the farm and pick. This is not a perfect system.
We had a very busy Saturday morning this past weekend. It will take a few days for the remaining berries to ripen. The weather forecast is rather uncertain. We still need rain. As a result as I write this we do not plan to be open this week. Check back later in the week to see how things develop and see if we have changed our plans.
